Hover drivers drawing a lifelinebetween Chengdu and Shifang
100 persons rescued within three days

From the second day of the earthquake happened in Sichuan, i.e. 13 May, a Hover drivers’ organization has been working on the line of “Chengdu to Shifang”, sending food, drinking water, clothes, medicine, etc. and taking the injured people to the various hospitals in Chengdu from Shifang (around 100 persons have been rescued).

Today, more and more Hover drivers joined: 10 vehicles on 13 May, 21 vehicles on 14 May and up to 40 vehicles on 15 May. Many of them mobilize their relatives and friends to participate and buy drinking water and food as well at their own expense brought to the disaster area.

Meanwhile, other 20 units GW vehicles donated by GWM are on the way to the disaster area leaving for Sichuan on 13 May to join in these Hover drivers. These vehicles are expected to arrive in the afternoon of 16 May, only more than 3 days spent from Baoding, Hebei to Sichuan instead of one week at usual due to “time is life”. Sure, these vehicles shall be unified allocated by Sichuan Charitable General Committee.

GWM has no idea at all about what this Hover drivers’ organization did before, but they support and think highly of their passion of disaster relief.
